In Do Class children continue their journey to the world of music: all previously taken knowledge and skills are taken to the new level. Conductor vs. Composer, Solo vs. Orchestra and more. The experience of playing in a musical band is such an excellent way to develop not only their musical but also social skills and team work!

While parents are not joining the classes, information for parents is provided on our Parents Portal so that musical exploration may continue at home. Children in the class are encouraged to “teach” their parents things they learn.

Structure.Do Class ‘level’ consists of 4/5 segments (16 twice a week lessons by 1hr in each segment, starting from September till May). Each segment has a theme (for ex. Seasons in Music, Animalia, Toys World, Winter Tales and many more) and all the activities are theme related. The parents and close family members are welcome to attend the last ‘open’ class of each segment and watch as their children, dressed in theme related costumes, demonstrate what they learned while playing and having fun! For your convenience we developed Parents Portal – just login to find photos, videos from the lessons and teacher’s recommendations posted online.

More about the lessons. We do not lecture, we play! In this group classes all activities are designed to lead children to the understanding of the elements of music (beat, pitch, dynamics, tempo, style and others): the musical concepts are taken from familiar songs and made conscious to the young child by naming and practicing these concepts through games and other activities.Children do not only recognize different composers and their music, but make their first attempts to analyze the music, recognizing the musical genre, instruments of the orchestra, tempo, dynamics etc. Puppets and a wide variety of other props are used to stimulate children's imaginations. With the help of “Soft Way to Mozart” we continue practicing sight reading music and singing solfeggio. The experience of Hand Bells Orchestra, Percussions Orchestra and other forms of playing in a band boosts team skills, increases mathematical ability, improves reading and comprehension skills and many more!
